Reintroduce beloved characters while setting the stage for the brand’s 10 Year Anniversary

The Challenge:

For the Elder Scrolls Online’s Gold Road chapter, Bethesda gave us the opportunity to make a direct sequel to our hugely successful Necrom CG trailer. This time, we went back to our high fantasy roots, and reintroduced the three core heroes who have been such a hallmark of the franchise: the Breton, the Nord, and the High Elf. We developed their relationships further as we put them front and center for the upcoming 10 Year Anniversary. In collaboration with the devs, we also got to design the new god named Ithelia in full CG, crafting a story of cosmic stakes set against a calming autumnal landscape. We also designed both the standard edition and collectors edition box art for the chapter

Results:

Winner of the gold award at the AICP awards for best Game Cinematic. As part of this honor, the video will be printed on film and housed in the archives of MoMA’s Department of Film for future generations to enjoy
Winner of two Clio Awards, taking home Gold for best CGI Spot of the Year, and silver for best CGI design
